Honestly, what do I even write at this point?
We are in such a weird state of limbo. For the life of me, I cannot tell if the Flyers are a good team or not, and if it is even worth to keep watching hockey because the league could get shut down at any point (a perfect example of this is the IIHF junior tournament being canceled). Is even being a Flyers fan worth it at this point? Even though we are on a good streak with our new interim head coach, Mike Yeo, I am not confident in this team whats so ever. As the title indicates, I am at a loss as to what I should write about.
What even is hockey anymore? At the start of the season, I was so optimistic. But now, I dread to watch the Flyers play.
When the NHL went on the holiday break early because of COVID, I was so happy because I did not have to force myself to watch Philadelphia play hockey for a week. It’s not like the Flyers are running the league and that if the season gets canceled, Philadelphia will get taken advantage of. The Flyers are one game above .500 and are so painfully average, it hurts.
What do I even write about anymore? Please, Brotherly Puck fans, give me some ideas. When you get excited that your favorite team is off for the holiday break, there clearly is a problem. I love hockey as much as the next guy, but I am so tired of watching this monotonous play. Since Ed Snider’s passing, this team has had no heart and soul. I am tired of Flyers hockey. I am tied of mediocrity.
