This time last year, it wouldn’t have been a hot take to say Flyers fans would once again be using tankathon.com come spring 2024, but a strong season until mid-March made many of us hopeful Tankathon wouldn’t be a tool this spring, but here we are. This is the first time the Flyers have been in the draft lottery four years in a row.
The draft lottery is being held on Tuesday, May 7. The time has not yet been released. You can watch the lottery on ESPN in the US or Sportsnet in Canada. It will also be streamed on ESPN+.
The Flyers currently sit at 12, so they are unable to get the first pick, but have a 5.1% chance for pick 2, .1% chance for pick 3, .1% chance for pick 4, 85.7% chance at pick 12, 8.9% chance at pick 13, and .2% chance at pick 14.
Here are the results of 100 Tankathon spins on April 30 at about 9pm.
The actual draft is held on June 28-29 in Las Vegas at the Sphere. The Flyers are in an interesting spot as around the 12/13 mark the talent is said to drop off. Some prospects that could drop that low include Cole Eiserman, Berkley Catton, Konsta Helenius, Zeev Buium, Tij Iginla, and Sam Dickinson.
