Welcome to the 9th edition of The Flyers Junior Hockey Prospect Report for 2024-2025!
This edition for the 2024-2025 season covers the period that was in the WHL, QMJHL, and OHL from Sunday February 16th – Wednesday March 5th.

Carson Bjarnason #64 (G) – Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL)

- (Feb. 17) The Brandon Wheat Kings visited the Saskatoon Blades with Carson Bjarnason getting the start in goal and only ten forwards dressed for the game. The Blades would get on the board first in the opening period, but Dominik Petr scored his 13th at 11:41 to tie the game 1-1. In the second period, Joby Baumuller would score his 12th and 13th goals of the season to push the Wheat Kings to a 3-1 lead and only allowing 13 shots through forty minutes. In the third period, Bjarnason would be busier as Saskatoon would cut the lead to 3-2 and get 12 shots in the period. Nolan Flamand would provide some insurance with his 19th at 6:25 to make it 4-2. Despite another Saskatoon goal to make it 4-3, Brandon would get two empty net goals in the final two minutes through Matteo Michels and Petr’s second of the game as the Wheat Kings defeated the Blades 6-3. Bjarnason got the victory and allowed 3 goals on 25 shots (22 saves).
- (Feb. 18) Carson Bjarnason once again was between the pipes as the Brandon Wheat Kings hosted the Prince Albert Raiders. After a scoreless first period, the Raiders scored twice in the second period before Jordan Gavin cut the deficit to 2-1 with his 19th of the season at 15:22. Bjarnason would lock it down in the third period stopping all 13 shots he faced and getting goals from Nolan Flamand (his 20th on the PP at 2:47), Dominik Petr (his 15th at 8:38), Carter Klippenstein (his 13th at 16:36) and an empty net goal from Quinn Mantei (his 7th) to give the Wheat Kings a 5-2 victory over the Raiders. Brandon won its 5th game in a row as Bjarnason was credited with the win and allowed 2 goals on 29 shots (27 saves).
- (Feb. 21) Carson Bjarnason got the start at home as the Brandon Wheat Kings hosted the Calgary Hitmen looking to win their sixth game in a row. The Hitmen came out swinging in the opening period and got off to a great start with 3 goals on 17 shots to take a 3-0 lead. In the second period, Bjarnason would get yanked from the game after Calgary made it 4-0 with a powerplay goal at 2:54. Things did not get better for the Wheat Kings as the Hitmen would score another goal with the man advantage to take a 5-0 lead through two periods. Brandon’s Ethan Eskit would not another goal in the third period, but the Wheat Kings offence could not get anything going as the Calgary Hitmen shutout the Brandon Wheat Kings 5-0. Bjarnason was tagged with the loss and allowed 4 goals on 21 shots (17 saves) in only 22:54.
- (Feb. 22) The Brandon Wheat Kings would visit the Swift Current Broncos as Ethan Eskit would get the start in place of Carson Bjarnason. After the Broncos took a 1-0 lead in the opening period, Nicholas Johnson would score his 14th at 8:46 of the second period to tie the game 1-1. Swift Current would respond with two goals in the remainder of the frame as the Broncos took a 3-1 lead after forty minutes. In the third period, Caleb Hadland would score his 19th of the season at 15:46 but the Broncos would seal a 4-2 victory over the Wheat Kings with an empty net goal in the final minute to hand Brandon their second consecutive loss.
- (Feb. 26) The Brandon Wheat Kings hosted the Edmonton Oil Kings with Carson Bjarnason getting the start in goal. In the first period, Edmonton outshot Brandon 15-12 and led 1-0 until a last minute goal by Adam Belusko (his 3rd) tied the game 1-1. In the second period, Marcus Nguyen (his 30th at 6:46) and Giorgos Pantelas (his 4th at 16:59) gave the Wheat Kings some breathing room to make it 3-1 after forty minutes. In the third period, Joby Baumuller would extend the lead to 4-1 with his 15th of the season and Bjarnason would shut the door as the Wheat Kings defeated the Oil Kings 4-1. Bjarnason got the win and was impressive as he faced 47 shots and only allowed 1 goal (46 saves). Bjarnason was named the First Star of the game.
- (Feb. 28) The Brandon Wheat Kings continued their homestand with Carson Bjarnason in goal as they hosted the Lethbridge Hurricanes. In the first period, Brandon’s Jaxon Jacobson would score his 13th of the season at 11:12 to give the Wheat Kings the lead but Lethbridge would strike twice to take a 2-1 lead. In the second period, Jacobson would score his second of the game to tie things up 2-2 at 4:40 and then the Wheat Kings would take a 3-2 lead at 9:44 with Nolan Flamand’s powerplay goal to make it 21 goals on the season. In the third period, the Hurricanes would tie the game 3-3 midway through the frame and a shootout would be needed to decide the victor after a scoreless overtime. In the shootout, Nicholas Johnson would get the only shootout goal as the Brandon Wheat Kings defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-3. Bjarnason was brilliant once again as he secured the victory by allowing 3 goals on 41 shots (38 saves). Bjarnason was named the Second Star of the game.

- (Mar. 1) Finishing up their homestand, the Brandon Wheat Kings hosted Gavin McKenna and the Medicine Hat Tigers. In the first period, the Tigers would lead 1-0 with an even-strength goal at 10:03. In the second period, Medicine Hat would score 3 goals on 12 shots including Oasiz Wiesblatt’s second of the game to take a commanding 4-0 lead. Carson Bjarnason was pulled after forty minutes of play and allowed 4 goals on 24 shots. The Tigers would add another even-strength goal in the final period and Harrison Meneghin would stop all 26 shots he faced as Medicine Hat shutout Brandon by a score of 5-0.
- (Mar. 4) The Brandon Wheat Kings would travel to Red Deer as they welcomed Roger McQueen back into the lineup to take on the Rebels. Ethan Eskit got the start over Carson Bjarnason in this one. The Rebels would lead 1-0 in the opening frame as they outshot the Wheat Kings 14-5 and capitalized on a powerplay opportunity. After a second powerplay goal by Red Deer to make it a 2-0 lead, Brandon would strike twice through Caleb Hadland (his 20th at 5:50) and Joby Baumuller (his 16th at 18:33) to tie the game 2-2. In the third period, the Rebels would score two powerplay goals less than two minutes apart as Red Deer would hand Brandon their second consecutive loss by a score of 4-2.
- (Mar. 5) Carson Bjarnason would get the start as the Brandon Wheat Kings looked to punch their ticket to the WHL Playoffs as they visited the Edmonton Oil Kings. In the first period, the Oil Kings would outshoot the Wheat Kings 16-9 and would take a 1-0 lead at 15:15. In the second period, Nolan Flamand would tie the game 1-1 with his 22nd of the season only 43 seconds in. Edmonton would take the lead at 14:56 but Brandon would tie the game 2-2 once again through Jorda Gavin’s 20th at 17:44. In the third period, a powerplay goal by Caleb Hadland at 14:50 would end up being the game-winner as the Brandon Wheat Kings defeated the Edmonton Oil Kings 3-2 to clinch a postseason berth. Bjarnason got the win and allowed 2 goals on 40 shots (38 saves). Bjarnason was named the Third Star of the game.

- (Feb. 17) The Portland Winterhawks hosted the Seattle Thunderbirds in a battle between archrivals. In the first period, the Thunderbirds struck first but Ryan Miller tied the game 1-1 with his 12th of the season at 8:21. In the second period, both sides would strike twice with Portland getting two goals by Alex Weiermair (his 14th at 6:29 and his 15th on the PP at 16:45) to knot the game 3-3 through forty minutes. In the third period, Diego Buttazzoni’s 28th goal of the season at 7:29 would end up being the game winner as the Portland Winterhawks defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-3. Carter Sotheran finished the game with no points, an even rating, and 2 SOG.
- (Feb. 21) The Portland Winterhawks hit the road and travelled to Washington as they faced the Everett Silvertips. Everett would strike first at even strength to lead 1-0 after the opening period. In the second period, the Silvertips would extend their lead to 2-0 and outshot the Winterhawks 31-22. In the third period, the Winterhawks would finally get on the board through Ryder Thompson’s 8th of the season at 6:56 but Everett would score a powerplay goal and add an empty-netter to defeat the Portland Winterhawks 4-1. Carter Sotheran finished the game with no points, a -1 rating, and 3 SOG.
- (Feb. 22) The Portland Winterhawks played their second game of the weekend as they hosted the Wenatchee Wild. In the opening period, Portland would outshoot Wenatchee 10-6 and took a 1-0 lead through Kyle Chyzowski’s 35th of the season while shorthanded at 8:47. In the second period, Joel Plante doubled the Winterhawks lead at 9:18 with his 4th of the season. Chyzowski would score his second of the game by tucking in a pass from Carter Sotheran to make it 3-0 at 13:12. The Wild would cut the lead to 3-1 before the end of the second period, and would use special teams in the third period to score while shorthanded and on the powerplay to tie the game 3-3 and force overtime. In the overtime frame, Chyzowski would complete the hat-trick 41 seconds in to lift the Portland Winterhawks to a 4-3 overtime win over the Wenatchee Wild. Sotheran finished the game with 1 assist, an even rating, 2 SOG, and 6 PIMs.

- (Feb. 23) Playing their third game in three nights, the Portland Winterhawks hosted the Spokane Chiefs. In the first period, Spokane would score 24 seconds in and kept the foot on the gas as they scored 3 goals on 17 shots to take a 3-0 lead. In the second period, Portland would rebound with three goals of their own through Josh Zakreski (his 32nd on the PP at 5:56), and two goals by Alex Weiermair (his 16th Shorthanded at 13:30 and his 17th at 15:27) to counter a lone Spokane goal to make it a 4-3 deficit. In the third period, the Chiefs would strike three times including a shorthanded empty-netter as Spokane defeated Portland 7-3. Carter Sotheran finished the game with no points, an even rating, and 2 SOG.
- (Feb. 26) The Portland Winterhawks began their road trip heading into British Columbia to take on the Kamloops Blazers. The first period was even offensively as both sides registered 11 shots and tallied 2 goals apiece. The Winterhawks got goals from Kyle Chyzowski (his 38th at 8:47) and Diego Buttazzoni (his 29th at 19:00) to finish the frame tied 2-2. Kamloops would take a 3-2 lead with a powerplay goal at 5:11 and score the only goal of the period to maintain that lead through forty minutes. In the third period, the Blazers would add an empty-net goal as the Portland Winterhawks would fall to the Kamloops Blazers 4-2. Carter Sotheran finished the game with no points, an even rating, and 2 SOG.
- (Feb. 28) Continuing their road trip, the Portland Winterhawks played their first of two consecutive games at the Victoria Royals. In the first period, the Royals would score twice at even strength and add a powerplay goal to be countered by a Winterhawks goal by Alex Weiermair (his 18th) to trail 3-1. In the second period, Max Psenicka would score his 1st WHL goal on the powerplay to cut the deficit to 3-2. In the third period, Diego Buttazzoni (his 30th at 1:02) and Carter Sotheran (his 4th at 1:58) would give Portland a 4-3 lead but Victoria would even up the game 4-4 with only 48 seconds remaining to force overtime. In overtime, the Royals would complete the come from behind win as they defeated the Portland Winterhawks 5-4. Sotheran finished the game with 1 goal, an even rating, 5 SOG, and 2 PIMs.

- (Mar. 1) One night later, the Portland Winterhawks played their second straight game at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Arena in Victoria to take on the Royals. In the first period, the Royals would get on the board only 21 seconds in to take a 1-0 lead. Both sides would trade goals in the second period but the Royals scored twice on 17 shots to negate Diego Buttazzoni’s 31st of the season at 16:56 to take a 3-1 lead after forty minutes. In the final stanza, Buttazzoni would score a powerplay goal at 8:31 for his second of the game to make it 3-2. Victoria would add an insurance goal at 17:06 to make it 4-2, but the Winterhawks powerplay goal at 18:17 through Ryan Miller (his 13th) would not be enough as the Victoria Royals swept their two-game set against the Portland Winterhawks with a 4-3 win. Carter Sotheran finished the game with no points, an even rating, 0 SOG, and 4 PIMs.
- (Mar. 5) The Portland Winterhawks returned home to take on the visiting Kamloops Blazers. In the opening period, Joel Plante would give Portland a 1-0 lead only 30 seconds into the game with his 5th goal of the season. After the Blazers tied the game, Diego Buttazzoni and Josh Zakreski each scored their 33rd goals of the season 53 seconds apart to give the Winterhawks a 3-1 lead. A late powerplay goal by Kamloops though with only 5 seconds left in the period would cut the lead to 3-2. In the second period, both sides would tally as the Winterhawks scored a powerplay goal by Kayd Ruedig for his 4th goal of the season at 2:42 to make it a 4-3 game. Ondrej Stebetak would stop all 16 shots he faced in the third period as the Portland Winterhawks defeated the Kamloops Blazers 4-3. Carter Sotheran finished the game with 1 assist, a +2 rating, and 2 SOG.

- (Feb. 16) The Rimouski Oceanic opened up a homestand by welcoming the visiting Chicoutimi Sagueneens. In the first period, Chicoutimi opened the scoring with a powerplay goal at 9:36 to take a 1-0 lead. There was no scoring in the second period although Rimouski outshot Chicoutimi 16-10. In the third period, the Oceanic would tie the game 1-1 at 1:07 as Jacob Mathieu scored his 37th goal of the season. At 13:23, Mathieu would score his second goal of the game which ended up being the game-winner as the Oceanic defeated the Sagueneens 2-1. Spencer Gill did not dress for this game.
- (Feb. 22) Spencer Gill returned to the lineup as the Rimouski Oceanic hosted the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. In the first period, Rimouski outshot Baie-Comeau 13-10 but trailed 2-0 as the Drakkar scored on the powerplay and at even-strength. In the second period, the Oceanic would cut the lead to 2-1 as Mael St-Denis scored his 21st of the season at 2:58. But the Drakkar would reestablish their two-goal lead midway through the period to end the frame up 3-1. In the third period, Maxime Coursol would once again bring Rimouski back to within one with his 19th of the season at 2:46. The Oceanic would tie the game 3-3 as Jonathan Fauchon scored his 41st goal at 6:09. The game would require overtime to crown a winner and in the extra frame, Baie-Comeau’s Alexis Bernier would score the winner as the Drakkar defeated the Oceanic 4-3. Gill finished the game with no points, an even rating, 4 SOG, and 2 PIMs.
- (Feb. 23) For the second consecutive game, the Rimouski Oceanic hosted the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. In the opening period, the Oceanic dominated the period with a 20-5 shots advantage but would up trailing the Drakkar 1-0. In the second period, Rimouski took advantage on the man-advantage as Jacob Mathieu (his 39th) and Dominic Pilote (his 9th) scored goals 38 seconds apart to take a 2-1 lead. Alexandre Blais made it three in the period for Rimouski with his 20th of the season at 17:33 to make it a 3-1 game. In the third period, Mael Lavigne (his 15th at 4:39) and Maxime Coursol (his 20th at 12:32) would seal the victory for the Oceanic as they defeated the Drakkar 5-1. Spencer Gill finished the game with 2 assists, an even rating, and 5 SOG.
- (Feb. 28) The Rimouski Oceanic visited Baie-Comeau to take on the Drakkar for the third consecutive time. In the first period, neither side could open the scoring as the Oceanic doubled up the Drakkar 12-6 in shots on goal. In the second period, Dominic Pilote opened the scoring with his 10th goal of the season at 2:02 to give Rimouski a 1-0 lead. After Baie-Comeau tie the game, Rimouski would get goals by Jack Martin (his 6th at 12:17) and Maxime Coursol (his 21st at 15:18) to take a 3-1 lead. The Drakkar though would score with 30 seconds remaining in the period to make it 3-2. In the third period, Jonathan Fauchon scored his 42nd of the season at 3:59 to provide some insurance and Mael St-Denis would score a powerplay goal for his 22nd of the season at 14:56 to secure victory for the Oceanic over the Drakkar by a score of 5-2. Spencer Gill finished the game with no points, an even rating, and 1 SOG.
- (Mar. 1) The Rimouski Oceanic stayed in Baie-Comeau to take on the Drakkar for the second straight game of their two-game set. In the first period, the Oceanic outshot the Drakkar 14-4 but were only able to get through the frame tied 1-1 with the Rimouski goal coming by way of Mael Lavigne’s 16th of the season. In the second period, Rimouski would open up a 3-1 lead thanks to goals by Lou Levesque (his 10th at 9:43) and Lavigne’s second of the night at 12:28. Mathis Langevin stopped all 8 shots he faced in the third period as the Rimouski Oceanic swept the two-game set against the Baie-Comeau Drakkar with a 3-1 win. Spencer Gill did not dress for the game.
- (Mar. 5) The Rimouski Oceanic went back home to take on the Moncton Wildcats with Spencer Gill not dressed for the second straight game. In the opening period, the Wildcats would jump out to a 2-0 lead by 13:07 but the Oceanic would get a goal back through Jonathan Fauchon’s 43rd at 17:19 to make it 2-1. In the second period, Rimouski would get doubled up in shots 12-6 and Moncton would score the only goal of the period to extend their lead to 3-1. In the final frame, Eriks Mateiko would score his 23rd of the season at 18:53 but it would come too late as the Rimouski Oceanic dropped a 3-2 decision to the Moncton Wildcats.

- (Feb. 17) The London Knights hosted the Flint Firebirds in a Family Day holiday matinee. In the opening period there was no scoring although London did outshoot Flint 12-8. In the second period the Firebirds opened the scoring, but Denver Barkey scored his 21st of the season while shorthanded to tie the game 1-1 at 0:23 of the third period. Kasper Halttunen would make it 2-1 with a rocket of a shot for his 10th of the season at 5:46. William Nichol would add some insurance for the Knights with his 15th of the season at 15:13 to make it 3-1. Barkey would be at it again with his second shorthanded goal of the game into an empty net to seal a 4-1 victory for London over Flint. With his shorthanded markers, Barkey broke the Knights record for most shorthanded goals in Knights history (the previous record was held by Liam Foudy). Oliver Bonk finished the game with 1 assist, a +2 rating, and 2 SOG. Barkey ended up with 2 goals and 1 assist for 3 points, a +3 rating, and 7 SOG. Denver Barkey was named the First Star of the game with his impressive performance.

- (Feb. 21) The Brampton Steelheads visited the London Knights on Thursday evening. In the first period, Brampton jumped out to a 2-0 lead but Sam Dickenson scored his 21st of the season on a nice feed by Denver Barkey to make it 2-1 at 18:11. In the second period, London would score the only goal of the frame courtesy of Easton Cowan’s 19th of the season at 4:13 to tie the game 2-2. In the third period, Brampton would take a 3-2 lead early on but Kasper Halttunen would tie it up 3-3 with his 11th of the season at 2:30. In overtime, Sam Dickenson was the hero as his second goal of the game was the game-winner as the London Knights defeated the Brampton Steelheads 4-3. Oliver Bonk finished the game with no points, an even rating, and 2 SOG. Barkey ended up with 2 assists, a +1 rating, and 4 SOG. Barkey was named the Third Star of the game.

- (Feb. 22) The London Knights made a trip to Erie to face the Otters before returning back home. Easton Cowan would open the scoring at 16:56 of the first period for his 20th of the season on the PP to give London a 1-0 lead. In the second period, the Otters would tie the game in the opening two minutes but Noah Read (his 6th at 12:07) and Kasper Halttunen (his 12th at 14:01) would give the Knights a 3-1 lead. London would put the game away in the third period as goals by William Nichol (his 16th at 5:45) and Jared Woolley (his 9th at 19:33) would give the Knights a 5-1 win over the Otters. Denver Barkey finished the game with 1 assist, an even rating, 3 SOG, and 2 PIMs. Oliver Bonk ended up with 1 assist, a +2 rating, 1 SOG, and 2 PIMs.
- (Feb. 23) Playing their third game in three nights, the London Knights hosted the Kitchener Rangers. The Rangers came out swinging in the opening period and took a 3-0 lead before Oliver Bonk made a nice pinch to set up Noah Read’s 7th at 17:08 to make it 3-1. In the second period, William Nicholl scored his 17th of the season at 5:24 to cut the lead to 3-2. Kitchener would make it 4-2, but Evan Van Gorp would determinedly slam in a rebound for his 16th at 13:46. In the third period, London would tie the game 4-4 as Landon Sim scored his 25th of the season at 14:46 and forced overtime. In overtime, the Rangers would score the winner only 1:02 in as Kitchener would defeat the London Knights 5-4 and snap their winning streak. Bonk finished the game with 1 assist, a +1 rating, 6 SOG, and 2 PIMs. Denver Barkey ended up with 1 assist, an even rating, 4 SOG, and was 3/3 on draws.

- (Feb. 28) The London Knights took on the Owen Sound Attack at the Canada Life Place. In the opening period, London outshot Owen Sound 22-7 and took a 3-1 lead thanks to goals by Kasper Halttunen (his 13th at 5:24), Easton Cowan (his 21st at 9:26), and Henry Brzustewicz (his 10th at 19:52). In the second period, Sam O’Reilly and Sam Dickenson were all over the scoresheet as the Knights scored another three goals to take a commanding 6-1 lead. In the third period, another three goals including Sam O’Reilly completing his hat-trick and Halttunen’s second of the game completed London’s 9-1 dismantling of the Owen Sound Attack. Denver Barkey finished the game with 2 assists, a +3 rating, and no SOG. Oliver Bonk ended up with no points, a +2 rating, 7 SOG, and 2 PIMs.
- (Mar. 1) The London Knights started off their road trip with a visit to Niagara to take on the IceDogs. Denver Barkey opened the scoring with his 23rd of the season at 11:44 by finishing off a cross-crease feed to make it 1-0. Barkey would slam into the end boards hard after the goal and looked to be in some discomfort but would return to the game. Niagara would tie the game 56 seconds later, but Sam Dickenson scored his 24th of the season on the powerplay at 18:40 to give the Knights a 2-1 lead. In the second period, the IceDogs would score two powerplay goals and hold London to only 7 shots as they took a 3-2 lead. The lead would become 4-2 at 1:36 of the third period, but Kasper Halttunen would reduce the lead to 4-3 with his 15th of the season at 9:24. The IceDogs would restore their two-goal lead once again, but Sam O’Reilly scored his 22nd of the season at 17:49 to make it 5-4. It as not to be though for the Knights as the IceDogs added an empty net goal to hand London a 6-4 loss. Barkey finished the game with 1 goal and 1 assist for 2 points, a +1 rating, and 1 SOG. Oliver Bonk ended up with no points, a -2 rating, and 5 SOG.

- (Mar. 2) The London Knights continued their road trip as they visited the Oshawa Generals. The Generals scored first but the Knights equalized the game 1-1 through a powerplay goal by Easton Cowan at 15:02 for his 22nd of the season. In the second period, Cowan would score his second of the game (this time shorthanded) at 3:39 to take the 2-1 lead; but Oshawa would respond to tie the game 2-2 at 14:23 with a shorthanded goal of their own. In the third period, Colby Barlow would notch his 30th of the season to give Oshawa a 3-2 lead; but Noah Read’s 8th of the season would tie the game 3-3 and force overtime. In overtime, Cowan would be the hero with a hat-trick overtime game-winner as the London Knights defeated the Oshawa Generals 4-3. Oliver Bonk finished the game with 1 assist, an even rating, and 2 SOG. Denver Barkey did not dress for the game.
- (Mar. 5) To close out their road trip, the London Knights visited the Brantford Bulldogs. In the opening frame, Easton Cowan would open the scoring at 1:44 to give London a 1-0 lead with his 25th goal of the season. In the second period, the Knights would open up a 4-0 lead as they scored three goals through Landon Sim (his 26th at 1:11), Sam Dickenson (his 25th at 6:19), and a shorthanded goal by Jesse Nurmi (his 9th at 7:31). In the third period, Cowan would score his second of the game while the Knights were shorthanded and Austin Elliot would stop all 28 shots he faced as London shutout Brantford 5-0. Oliver Bonk finished the game with no points, a +1 rating, and 2 SOG. Denver Barkey missed his second straight game.

- (Feb. 17) On the Family Day holiday, the Guelph Storm hosted the Sudbury Wolves at the Sleeman Centre. In the first period, the Storm had a good start as they outshot Sudbury 14-5 and took a 1-0 lead through Max Namestnikov’s 19th goal of the season at 6:41. Sudbury would tie the game but Charlie Paquette would be all alone in front to convert his 24th of the season with 40 seconds remaining to give Guelph a 2-1 lead. In the second period, the Wolves would tie the game 2-2 midway through the period but Paquette would score his second of the game followed by Jake Karabela’s 6th to give the Storm a 4-2 lead. The third period was a wild one as both sides would score in just over a minute to make it 5-3. Jett Luchanko would pick up his third assist of the night on Paquette’s hat trick goal at 8:21 to make it 6-3. Sudbury would not quit though and would score three consecutive goals in just over five minutes to tie the game 6-6. In the final minute though, Namestnikov would score a powerplay goal for his second of the game as the Guelph Storm defeated the Wolves 7-6 in a nailbiter. Luchanko finished the game with 3 assists, a +1 rating, 1 SOG, 2 PIMs, and was 12/19 on faceoffs.

- (Feb. 21) The Guelph Storm hit the road as they visited the Soo Greyhounds. In the opening period, Guelph would take the 1-0 lead as Jake Karabela scored his 7th of the season at 19:28. After no scoring in the second period, the third period made up for it with an offensive outburst of five goals in the frame. After the Greyhounds tied the game, Charlie Paquette stayed hot with his 27th of the season on the powerplay at 9:11 followed by Alex McLean’s 8th of the season at 10:08 to make it a 3-1 Guelph lead. The Greyhounds would strike twice to tie the game though and force overtime with a powerplay goal and an even strength goal. In overtime, the Greyhounds would complete the comeback as Chase Reid scored his 4th of the season as the Soo defeated Guelph 4-3. Jett Luchanko finished the game with no points, an even rating, 2 SOG, and was 7/15 on draws.
- (Feb. 22) The road miles continued to pile up for the Guelph Storm as they visited the Saginaw Spirit. In the opening period Saginaw would take the 1-0 lead but Jett Luchanko fired his 16th of the season from the slot at 11:59 to tie the game 1-1. Luchanko would then get a nice assist with a backhand pass that found Lev Katzin for his 13th of the season at 18:46 to make it 2-1. In the second period, Carter Stevens would extend the lead to 3-1 on the powerplay for his 11th of the season at 1:56 but defenseman Zayne Parekh would score his 28th to make it 3-2 after forty minutes. In the third period, Luchanko scored his second of the game on an easy tap in at 10:01 and Leo Starlin added an empty net goal as the Guelph Storm defeated the Saginaw Spirit 5-2. Luchanko finished the game with 2 goals and 1 assist for 3 points, a +3 rating, 4 SOG, 2 PIMs, and was 6 of 14 on faceoffs. Luchanko was awarded the First Star of the game.

- (Feb. 25) The Guelph Storm finished up their road trip as they visited the Kitchener Rangers. Guelph would open the scoring and take a 1-0 lead as Charlie Paquette scored his 28th on the powerplay at 10:54. In the second period, the Rangers would strike twice with a powerplay and an even strength goal to take a 2-1 lead. In the third period, Kitchener would tally four more to make it six straight goals in the game as the Rangers would defeat the Storm 6-1. Jett Luchanko finished the game with no points, an even rating, 1 SOG, and was 12 of 18 on faceoffs.
- (Feb. 26) The Guelph Storm returned home to the Sleeman Centre as they hosted the Barrie Colts. There was no scoring in the opening period as the Guelph outshot Barrie 8-4. In the second period, Jake Karabela would score his 8th of the season at 5:39 to give the Storm a 1-0 lead. Jett Luchanko took advantage of a defensive slip up by the net and tucked home his 18th of the season to give Guelph a 2-1 lead at 10:16. Barrie would get one back to tie it, but in the third period Luchanko would score his second of the game with a beautiful showcase of his speed only 1:01 in to give the Storm a 3-2 lead. The Colts would strike twice to take a 4-3 lead, but Charlie Paquette would tie the game 4-4 with his 29th on the powerplay with seconds remaining. After overtime solved nothing, Barrie would score twice in the shootout to negate a Lev Katzin goal as the Barrie Colts prevailed over the Guelph Storm by a score of 5-4. Luchanko finished the game with 2 goals and 1 assist for 3 points, an even rating, 3 SOG, and was 9 of 15 on faceoffs. Luchanko was named the First Star of the game.

- (Feb. 28) The Guelph Storm hosted the Flint Firebirds at the Sleeman Centre. The first period was an even affair in shots and goals as both sides found the back of the net. Flint would open the scoring but Ryan Singh would score his 3rd of the season to tie the game 1-1 at 17:34. In the second period, the Firebirds would take the lead but a pair of Storm goals by Max Namestnikov (his 21st and 22nd) would give Guelph a 3-2 lead. In the third period, the Firebirds would score twice and add an empty net goal as Flint would defeat Guelph by a score of 5-3. Jett Luchanko finished the game with no points, a -2 rating, 3 SOG, and was 17/22 at the faceoff dot.
- (Mar. 2) The Guelph Storm went for a drive and visited the Sarnia Sting. In the first period, the Sting would open the scoring but Charlie Paquette would score his 30th goal of the season at 7:40 to tie the game 1-1. In the second period, Sarnia would take a 2-1 lead even though the Storm outshot them 11-7. An insurance goal would be added at 2:52 of the third period and the Sting would shut the door the rest of the way as Sarnia defeated Guelph 3-1. Jett Luchanko finished the game with no points, a +1 rating, 1 SOG, and was 11/19 on faceoffs.
