We’ve finally arrived at the week of the NHL trade deadline! Over the next few days, fans across the league are going to be crossing their fingers hoping their team makes a slam dunk addition to help with a playoff push, or that there’s proper selling going on to build for the future. And then there’s Flyers’ fans, knowing neither one of those things will happen. So they take to PuckPedia’s PuckGM tool to craft their perfect Flyers-themed trades for us to vote on instead!

The best time to trade Travis Konecny was two years ago. The second best time is right now. It’s going to be harder because he’s under contract until 2033, but for a team like the Wild, who seem to be in full on go-time mode, it could be the best chance for the Flyers to get a king’s ransom for the guy.
The most notable return here is 21-year-old forward Charlie Stramel, who was a first round pick in 2023, and 23-year-old goalie Jesper Wallstedt, who is one of the more intriguing up-and-comers in the league today. Add in two future top draft picks and this could be a home run if the Flyers were ever serious about actually rebuilding.

Everyone once in awhile when looking through these trades, one catches my eye and makes me think- would this trade work and would the Flyers get better? The answer is probably yes, but it’s not a sure thing.
The Flyers get a 80-point, legitimate center, after Zegras found himself on the wings in Philly. The second-half of his season hasn’t been quite as impressive on-ice as the first half was, but he’s still quickly become a fan favorite and it’d leave a sour taste with the fans if he were to get traded.
The Blues get a yonger forward who proved he can rebound, a first round pick in Jack Nesbitt for their own rebuild, and a top-ten protected first round pick.

The Flyers need to clear some wingers, and need some serious help replenishing the prospect pipeline on the backend, and this trade solves both.
Mintyukov is a 22-year-old left-handed defenseman and was the 10th overall pick in 2022. He has since played 183 NHL games clocking over 18 minutes of ice time a night during that stretch.

This feels like a pretty big overpay from the Capitals, but if the Flyers can squeeze this kind of value out of someone for a player they should probably be moving on from (if they were actually rebuilding)
Ryan Leonard is a 21-year-old forward and former eighth overall pick in 2023 who has played 64 games of NHL action.
Cole Hutson is a 19-year-old left-handed defenseman who was selected in the second round in 2024, but has yet to make his professional debut.

There’s always a connection between Tkachuk and Philly hockey because of his prototypical Flyers style of hockey, but rarely is a trade put forth by Flyers fans that doesn’t feel completely lopsided.
The Sens get Konecny, who is the older dollar store version of Tkachuk, pluse two top prospects in Bonk and Barkey, and an additional first round pick.
