WHL (Western Hockey League)
Luke Vlooswyk #5 (D) – Everett Silvertips (WHL)

- (Feb. 16) The Everett Silvertips were the visitors as they took on the Calgary Hitmen. The home side would go up 2-0 in the opening period despite the Silvertips 12-7 shots on goal advantage thanks to two powerplay goals. In the second period, Julius Miettinen would get Everett on the board with his 23rd of the season at 9:53 to make it 2-1. The Hitmen would strike again on the powerplay at 16:29 to get the 3-1 insurance marker. The third period would be scoreless as the Calgary Hitmen would go 3 for 6 with the man advantage in the game and would defeat the Everett Silvertips 3-1. Luke Vlooswyk finished the game with no points, an even rating, 2 SOG, and 2 PIMs.
- (Feb. 21) The Everett Silvertips returned home to take on the Seattle Thunderbirds. In the opening period, Everett dominated the shots 16-3 but only wet up 1-0 thanks to Matias Vanhanen’s 16th of the season. Everett would dominate the second period as well and once again would only strike once as Carter Bear’s 28th of the season made it 2-0. The third period finally saw the Silvertips rewarded for their attacking play as they scored seven goals (two on the powerplay) and Carter Bear completed his hat-trick as the Silvertips smothered the Seattle Thunderbirds 9-0. Luke Vlooswyk finished the game with no points, a +2 rating, and 0 SOG.
- (Feb. 22) The Everett Silvertips continued at home as they took on the Tri-City Americans. In the opening period, Everett outshot Tri-City 20-7 but only went up 1-0 through Jesse Heslop’s 14th of the season. The dominance continued in the second period with the shots 24-5 and the Silvertips would extend their lead to 3-0 with Carter Bear’s 31st of the season at 4:43 followed by Zackary Shantz’s 24th. In the third period Tri-City would get on the board and pull to within one late, but the Silvertips held the lead to defeat the Americans 3-2. Luke Vlooswyk finished the game with no points, a +1 rating, and 6 SOG.
- (Feb. 27) The Everett Silvertips hosted the Kamloops Blazers. In the opening period, the Silvertips led in shots 18-11 and took a 3-2 lead thanks to a three-point period from Julius Miettinen (2 goals and 1 assist). In the second period, Miettinen would complete his hat-trick and Luke Vlooswyk would score his 1st goal of the season to along with a pair of insurance goals by the Silvertips in the third period as Everett thoroughly handled Kamloops 8-3. Vlooswyk finished the game with 1 goal, a +1 rating, and 4 SOG.

- (Feb. 28) The Everett Silvertips hit the road to take on the rival Seattle Thunderbirds. Seattle would take the lead at 6:11 of the opening period and the game would stay 1-0 even through a dominant period by the Silvertips that saw Thunderbirds goaltender Marek Sklenicka turn away 31 shots in the opening two periods. In the third period, Julius Miettinen would finally solve Sklenicka and score his 27th of the season to tie the game 1-1 at 1:25. Seattle would retake the lead only 18 seconds later, but Carter Bear would score his 33rd of the season at 5:48 to tie the game 2-2. Regulation time would expire and Miettinen would score the winning goal in overtime as the Everett Silvertips defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 3-2. Luke Vlooswyk finished the game with no points, a -1 rating, and 1 SOG.

- (Feb. 16) The Seattle Thunderbirds took to the road as they visited the Vancouver Giants. After a scoreless first period, the Giants would strike first at 9:39 of the second period to take a 1-0 lead. Seattle would tie the game up 1-1 as Simon Lovsin scored his 13th of the season at 17:49. In the third period, Matthew Gard would get two secondary powerplay assists as Lovsin scored his second of the game at 8:02 followed by Sawyer Mayes’ 14th as the Thunderbirds defeated the Giants 3-1. Gard finished the game with 2 assists, an even rating, 3 SOG, and was 13 of 20 on faceoffs.

- (Feb. 20) The Seattle Thunderbirds returned home as they took on the visiting Portland Winterhawks. The Winterhawks would strike first only 2:35 in but the Thunderbirds would tie the game at 11:54 with Cameron Schmidt’s 39th of the season on the powerplay. In the second period, Portland would outshoot Seattle 13-6 ad score the only goal of the frame to take a 2-1 lead after forty minutes. In the third period, Matthew Gard would snap home his 14th of the season to tie the game 2-2 at 10:39. The remainder of regulation could find no winner and in overtime, Schmidt would score his second of the game to hit the 40-goal mark and score the game-winner on a breakaway as the Seattle Thunderbirds beat the Portland Winterhawks 3-2. Gard finished the game with 1 goal and 1 assist for 2 points, a +1 rating, 5 SOG, and was 11/23 on draws.

- (Feb. 21) Playing their second of three games in three nights, the Seattle Thunderbirds visited the Everett Silvertips. Outshot 33-13 through two periods, the Thunderbirds were fortunate to only find themselves down 2-0. The floodgates would open in the third period though as the Silvertips would score seven goals and goaltender Anders Miller would stop all 20 shots he faced as Everett shutout Seattle 9-0. Matthew Gard finished the game with no points, a -2 rating, 1 SOG, and was 6 of 19 on faceoffs.
- (Feb. 22) Playing their third and final game in as many nights, the Seattle Thunderbirds visited the Portland Winterhawks. Portland would strike on the powerplay at 12:41 of the opening period and also at 1:51 of the second period as the Winterhawks took a 2-0 lead. Brock England would respond with a powerplay goal for Seattle (his 20th) only 2:03 later to get the Thunderbirds on the board at 2-1. The Winterhawks would score at even strength and while shorthanded later in the frame as Ethan Bibeau would make it a 4-2 deficit with his 5th of the season at 18:42. England would get his second assist of the game and third point through a Seattle powerplay goal in the third period, but that was as close as the Thunderbirds would get as they dropped a 4-3 decision to the Portland Winterhawks. Matthew Gard finished the game with no points, a -2 rating, 5 SOG, 2 PIMs, and was 10/22 at the faceoff dot.
- (Feb. 25) The Seattle Thunderbirds visited the Kelowna Rockets. In the opening period, Kelowna would strike twice before Seattle got on the board to make it 2-1 through Antonio Martorana’s 23rd of the season at 18:59. After no scoring in the second period, the Rockets Tij Iginla would score his 36th and Owen Folstrom would add an empty-netter as the Kelowna Rockets took down the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-1. Matthew Gard finished the game with no points, a -1 rating, 2 SOG, 2 PIMs, and was 11/24 on draws.
- (Feb. 27) The Seattle Thunderbirds travelled north as they visited the Vancouver Giants. In the opening period, the Vancouver Giants led 1-0 and only allowed 4 Seattle shots. In the second period, the Thunderbirds had a better period and took a 2-1 lead through Noah Kosick (his 14th) and Sawyer Mayes (his 15th). I the third period, Seattle would get an insurance goal from Coster Dunn (his 21st) and add an empty-netter as the Thunderbirds took down the Giants 4-1. Matthew Gard finished the game with no points, a +1 rating, 0 SOG, 2 PIMs, and was 9 of 13 on faceoffs.
- (Feb. 28) The Seattle Thunderbirds returned home to take on the rival Everett Silvertips. QMJHL (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League)
Spencer Gill #15 (D) – Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (QMJHL)

- (Feb. 19) The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada were the hosts as they took on the Rimouski Oceanic. In the opening period, the Armada would get the 1-0 at 4:03 through Matt Gosselin’s 20th of the season off a fortunate bounce in the corner that ricocheted in front. In the second period, Spencer Gill would get an assist on Elliot Dube’s first of two goals in the period as the Armada would lead 4-0 after forty minutes. Rimouski would get on the board in the third period, but Olivier Lemieux (his 16th) and Jacob Beaulieu (his 6th) would ensure all the points as the Armada defeated the Oceanic 6-1. Gill finished the game with 1 assist, a +5 rating, 2 SOG, and 2 PIMs.
- (Feb. 20) The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada continued their home stretch as they played the Gatineau Olympiques. Spencer Gill would open the scoring only 1:15 in to get his 1st goal of the season. Up 2-0 in the second period, Gill would grab assists on Mael Lavinge’s 21st goal and Torkel Jennersjo’s 12th goal on the powerplay to put the Armada up 4-0. Gatineau would strike twice to get on the board before the end of the middle frame, but in the third period the Armada would add some insurance including an empty net goal to give the Olympiques a 6-3 defeat. Gill finished the game with 1 goal and 3 assists for 4 points, a +3 rating, and 3 SOG. Gill was named the First Star of the game.
- (Feb. 22) The Sherbrooke Phoenix were the visitors as they took on the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. An even opening period shots wise, but it was the Phoenix that would open the scoring and add a powerplay goal to lead 2-0. After a scoreless second period, Vincent Collard would get Blainville-Boisbriand on the board at 10:57 and Bill Zonnon would score his 10th of the season at 16:15 to tie things up 2-2 ad force overtime. In the extra period, Zonnon would get the puck to Matt Gosselin whose 21st of the season was the game-winner as the Armada defeated the Phoenix 3-2. Spencer Gill finished the game with no points, a +2 rating, and 4 SOG.
- (Feb. 27) Heading out on the road, the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada visited the Rimouski Oceanic. The Armada would open the scoring only 56 seconds in and add to their lead regularly as Justin Carbonneau scored twice for his 43rd and 44th goals of the season to pace Blainville-Boisbriand to a 3-0 lead. Carbonneau would complete his hat-trick at 14:43 of the third period in a game that was completely one-sided as the Armada outshot the Oceanic 45-18 and thoroughly dominated the game with a 7-1 victory. Spencer Gill finished the game with 1 assist, a +1 rating, 3 SOG, and 4 PIMs.
Nathan Quinn #29 (C) – Quebec Remparts (QMJHL)

- (Feb. 15) The Quebec Remparts visited the Marcel Dionne Centre to take on the Drummondville Voltigeurs. No scoring occurred in the opening period which saw the Voltigeurs outshoot the Remparts 13-10. In the second period, Drummondville would open the scoring to take a 1-0 lead with a powerplay goal. In the third period, Charles-Antoine Dube would reply with a powerplay goal for his 7th of the season at 5:19 to tie the game 1-1. The Voltigeurs would score to retake the lead 23 seconds later and add an insurance goal to go up 3-1. Egan Beveridge’s 12th of the season at 17:06 would bring the Remparts to within one, but they would get no closer as Drummondville defeated Quebec 3-2. Nathan Quinn finished the game with 1 assist, an even rating, 2 SOG, and was 9/15 on draws.
- (Feb. 17) The back half of the home-and-home saw the Quebec Remparts host the Drummondville Voltigeurs in front of 12,000 at the Centre Videotron. Despite the even shot totals through two periods it was Drummondville that had a 3-0 lead after forty minutes. In the third period, Nathan Quinn skated in on goal and roofed a shot for his 29th goal of the season at 7:52. With the goalie pulled, Cal Uens scored his 13th at 16:52 while the Remparts had a 6-on-5 advantage to make it 3-2. Unfortunately, Drummondville would add an empty net goal to stymie any hope of a comeback as the Voltigeurs defeated Quebec 4-3. Quinn finished the game with 1 goal and 1 assist for 2 points, an even rating, 5 SOG, and was 5 of 12 on faceoffs. Quinn was named the Third Star of the game.

- (Feb. 19) The Quebec Remparts went back on the road as they visited the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. This game was a one sided affair that began with the Remparts taking a 2-0 lead in the opening period while outshooting the Drakkar 11-8. In the second period, the shots would be 14-4 with Quebec’s Nikita Ovcharov scoring his 15th goal of the season to give the Remparts a 4-1 lead. Quebec would add a powerplay goal and an even strength tally late to convincingly win this game over Baie-Comeau 6-1. Nathan Quinn finished the game with no points, a -1 rating, 1 SOG, and was 5/10 o faceoffs.
- (Feb. 20) The Quebec once again faced the Baie-Comeau Drakkar on the road for the second consecutive evening. Maddox Dagenais scored twice (including a powerplay goal) for his 24th and 25th goals of the season to pace Quebec to a 3-0 lead. After a scoreless second period, Dagenais would complete the hat-trick at 1:38 of the third period with a great one-timer assisted by Nathan Quinn. Quinn would score his 30th goal of the season on the powerplay only moments later and Patrick Deniger only had to stop 16 shots for the shutout as the Remparts dominated the Drakkar 6-0. Quinn finished the game with 1 goal and 1 assist for 2 points, a +2 rating, 2 SOG, and was 4 of 6 at the faceoff dot. Quinn was named the Second Star of the game.

- (Feb. 26) The Quebec Remparts road trip continued as they headed east to face the Cape Breton Eagles. An even first period in terms of shots (12-12) but the Eagles had a 3-0 lead until Maddox Dagenais scored a powerplay goal for his 27th of the season at 15:36 to make it 3-1. Nathan Quinn was given a 5-minute major for checking from behind and a game misconduct at the end of the period. Andreas Straka would add another goal with the man advantage at 8:18 (his 8th) to make it 3-2. In the third period, Quebec would tie the game 3-3 at 9:38 through Xavier Lebel’s 12th, but Cape Breton would score the game-winner at 13:08 as the Eagles defeated the Remparts 4-3. Quinn finished the game with 1 assist, an even rating, 3 SOG, 5 PIMs, and was 1/4 on draws.

- (Feb. 27) For the second consecutive game, the Quebec Remparts visited the Cape Breton Eagles. In the opening period, Nathan Quinn stole the puck on the wall and fed Andreas Straka for his 10th of the season at 17:11 to make it 1-0. The Remparts would double their lead in the second period to 2-0 as Ryan Howard scored his 8th in the final minute of play. In the third period, Quebec would hold the Eagles to only three shots and add goals from Maddox Dagenais (his 28th) and Xavier Lebel (his 13th) to put the game out of reach. Backup goaltender Benjamin Lelievre stopped all 17 shots he faced as the Quebec Remparts shutout the Cape Breto Eagles 4-0. Quinn finished the game with 1 assist, a +2 rating, 5 SOG, 2 PIMs, and was only 4 of 15 on faceoffs.

- (Feb. 16) The Windsor Spitfires hosted the Saginaw Spirit at WFCU Centre. Shots were fairly even through two periods of play (17-15 for Saginaw) but the Spitfires were clinical in capitalizing on their chances as five different goal scorers paced them to a 5-0 lead. In the third period, Jack Nesbitt scored his 17th of the season at 4:50 with a one-timer to make it 6-0. Liam Greentree would add his second goal of the game at 14:17 to make it 7-0 with his 27th of the season. The shutout bid was spoiled in the final minute of the game, but the Windsor Spitfires handily defeated the Saginaw Spirit 7-1. Nesbitt finished the game with 1 goal, a +1 rating, 1 SOG, 2 PIMs, and was 9 of 19 on faceoffs.
- (Feb. 20) The Windsor Spitfires hit the road as they took on the Kitchener Rangers. After no scoring in the opening period, the Rangers would get goals at 2:17 and 18:17 to take a 2-0 lead. The third period would end with both teams getting 26 shots a piece, but Kitchener would add an empty-netter and shutout the Windsor Spitfires 3-0. Jack Nesbitt finished the game with no points, a -1 rating, 0 SOG, and was 14 of 18 at the faceoff dot.
- (Feb. 22) The Flint Firebirds were the opponents as they visited the Windsor Spitfires. Flint would open the scoring with a powerplay goal at 14:53 to take a 1-0 lead. In the second period, Jack Nesbitt would tip in the puck for his 18th goal of the season at 8:56 to tie the game up 1-1. The Firebirds would get a shorthanded goal to retake the 2-1 advantage at 16:38 in what would end up as the game winning goal, as the Spitfires could not tie the game in the third period and dropped a 2-1 decision to the Flint Firebirds. Nesbitt finished the game with 1 goal, an even rating, 4 SOG, and was 10/20 on faceoffs.
- (Feb. 26) The Windsor Spitfires hosted the visiting Peterborough Petes. Windsor came out in the opening period and outshot Peterborough 16-7 and went up 2-0 with goals by Jakub Fibigr (his 10th) and Liam Greentree (his 28th). In the second period, the Petes would turn things around to get back in the game as they scored twice to tie the game by 8:47 until Greentree scored his second of the game to restore the Spitfires 3-2 advantage. In the third period, the Petes would tie the game 3-3 with a powerplay goal at 9:21 and ultimately force extra time. After a scoreless overtime, Liam Greentree capped off a sensational night by scoring the only goal of the shootout as the Windsor Spitfires beat the Peterborough Petes 4-3. Jack Nesbitt finished the game with no points, an even rating, 0 SOG, 2 PIMs, and was 9 of 14 on draws.
- (Feb. 27) The Windsor Spitfires headed to Canada Life Place to take on the London Knights. I the opening period, Windsor was outshot 7-3 but managed to escape the period tied 1-1 through Liam Greetree’s 30th goal of the season. In the second period, Windsor would get their game back on track as Jack Nesbitt assisted on two of the Spitfires four goals and Greentree completed his hat-trick to put Windsor up 5-1. AJ Spellacy would score a powerplay goal to ice the game at 12:26 of the final frame as the Windsor Spitfires handled the London Knights 6-1. Nesbitt finished the game with 2 assists, a +2 rating, 2 SOG, and was 8 of 15 at the faceoff dot.
- (Feb. 28) The Barrie Colts were the opponents as they visited the Windsor Spitfires. After a scoreless opening period, the Spitfires turned it on in the middle frame as they held the Colts to just 3 shots on goal. AJ Spellacy would score a shorthanded goal to get things started (his 13th) followed by Ethan Belchetz (his 34th) to put the Spitfires up 2-0. In the third period, Windsor would score an empty net goal through Liam Greentree and Michael Newlove would stop all 21 shots he faced as Windsor shutout Barrie 3-0. Jack Nesbitt finished the game with no points, a +1 rating, 5 SOG, 2 PIMs, and was 12/19 on draws.
Jett Luchanko #17 (C) – Brantford Bulldogs (OHL)

- (Feb. 16) The Brantford Bulldogs hit the road as they visited the Kingston Frontenacs. Kingston would open the scoring with a powerplay goal but Cooper Dennis’ shorthanded marker would tie the game 1-1 at 8:54 with his 27th of the season. In the second period, both teams traded goals as Marek Vanacker scored his 39th of the season at 14:40 to make it a 2-2 game. I the third period, Caleb Malhotra’s 26th of the season at 1:34 ended up being the game-winner as the Bulldogs defeated the Frontenacs 3-2. Jett Luchanko finished the game with 1 assist, a +1 rating, 2 SOG, 2 PIMs, and was 3 of 4 on faceoffs (playing RW).
- (Feb. 18) The Brantford Bulldogs returned home as they took on the Oshawa Generals. Jake O’Brien would score the only goal of the opening period as his 20th of the season at 8:38 gave Brantford a 1-0 lead. In the second period, O’Brien would assist on Nikolas Rossetto’s 5th of the season at 2:11 but the Generals would strike twice to end the frame tied 2-2. In the third period, Jett Luchanko would set up O’Brien’s second goal of the game on the powerplay and Charlie Paquette would add a insurance marker for his 26th of the season as the Bulldogs defeated the Generals 4-2. Luchanko finished the game with 2 assists, a +1 rating, 3 SOG, and was 1 of 3 on draws (playing RW).

- (Feb. 21) The Brantford Bulldogs visited the Sadlon Centre to take on the Barrie Colts. Things started positively for the Bulldogs as Luca Testa (his 12th) and Jake O’Brien (his 22nd) paced Brantford to a 2-0 lead but the Colts Kashawn Aitcheson scored twice (his 25th and 26th) to tie the game 2-2 after forty minutes. The third period was a goal fest with a total of seven goals scored. Although Gabriel Frasca (his 22nd) and O’Brien would find the back of the net, the Colts would score five goals in the frame to give the Bulldogs a 7-4 loss. Jett Luchanko finished the game with no points, a -5 rating, 3 SOG, and was 4 of 11 on faceoffs (playing RW).
- (Feb. 22) The Brantford Bulldogs visited the Peterborough Petes for a Sunday matinee. The Petes would score the only goal of the opening period to take a 1-0 lead. 32 seconds into the second period, Marek Vanacker joined the 40 goal club to tie the game 1-1. After Peterborough would retake the lead, Cooper Dennis would score his 28th of the season late to tie things up 2-2. Dennis would strike again in the third period to give the Bulldogs a 3-2 lead, but the Petes would tie the game up in the final minute and Adam Novotny would score (with Jett Luchanko in the penalty box) forhis 2nd of the game I overtime as Peterborough took down Brantford 4-3. Luchanko finished the game with 2 assists, a +1 rating, 1 SOG, 2 PIMs, and was 7 of 13 on draws (playing C).

- (Feb. 25) The Brantford Bulldogs hosted the visiting Brampton Steelheads. In the opening period, Brantford outshot Brampton 20-9 and took a 2-0 lead through goals by Zackary Sandhu (his 1st) and Adam Jiricek (his 14th). In the second period, the Steelheads would score three goals to take a 3-2 lead. In the third period the Steelheads would add to their lead only 35 seconds in, but Jake O’Brien and Adam Benak would get three points each to lead Brantford to come back and defeat the Brampton Steelheads 5-4. Jett Luchanko finished the game with 1 assist, an even rating, 1 SOG, 2 PIMs, and was 8/17 at the faceoff dot.

- (Feb. 27) The Brantford Bulldogs continued their homestand as they played the visiting Oshawa Generals. Oshawa would open the scoring at 1:48 but Zackary Sandhu would score his 2nd of the season in consecutive games to tie the game 1-1. In the second period, the Bulldogs would get four goals from four different goal scorers (including 2 goals in 39 seconds) to jump to a 5-1 lead. In the third period, the Generals would score twice but the Bulldogs would get goals by Charlie Paquette (his 27th at 4:58) and Edison Engle (his 3rd at 12:25) as Brantford defeated Oshawa 7-3. Jett Luchanko finished the game with no points, a -1 rating, 2 SOG, and was 9 of 15 on faceoffs.
