Selling High on Scott Laughton
The 2021 trade deadline is quickly approaching and Chuck Fletcher has played his cards close to his chest when he has talked about what he plans on doing on April 12. Observations From A Socially-Distanced Hockey Game
For the first time in 13 months I stepped foot inside the PPL Center to take in a Lehigh Valley Phantoms game. The feelings were hard to describe. Excited to be back at a place that has more or less been a second home the past few years, yet the underlying nervousness because, ya know, … Continue reading Observations From A Socially-Distanced Hockey Game
Too Little Too Late For Flyers Playoff Hopes?
A shortened hockey season means every game is more intense. With just 56 games on the docket, fighting for a playoff spot happens far earlier in the season than usual. There is very little room to do a mulligan if a rough stretch happens and the Flyers are finding that out first hand. They jumped … Continue reading Too Little Too Late For Flyers Playoff Hopes?

After a hot start the train completely came off the tracks in the month of March when the team went 6-10-1 where they allowed five or more goals seven times. Now as the season hinders on an important back-to-back with the Bruins early next week, … Continue reading In Defense of Alain Vigneault
Andrew MacDonald was the Hero We Needed, and We Were Too Blind to See It
We all owe Andrew MacDonald an apology. Although he wasn't an offensive dynamo, he was defensively sound and one of the best leaders this team ever had. Going back to June 15, 2019 is heart breaking. The cornerstone of our defense was confusingly placed on unconditional waivers with the intention of buying him out. $5 … Continue reading Andrew MacDonald was the Hero We Needed, and We Were Too Blind to See It
Don’t Re-Sign Travis Sanheim
The Philadelphia Flyers are having a rough 2021 campaign thanks in part to the state of their defense core which has underperformed all season. One of the biggest disappointments on the blue line is 25-year-old fourth-year defenseman Travis Sanheim. He is in the last year of his two-year bridge deal he signed in 2019 that … Continue reading Don’t Re-Sign Travis Sanheim
Samuel Morin: Climbing the Mountain
If you're reading this right now, it probably means you're a hockey fan. As a hockey fan you probably know that fairy tale "story book" moments don't happen every day, so when we got to witness one revolving around Samuel Morin on Saturday, it was a special moment. Samuel Morin had the deck stacked against … Continue reading Samuel Morin: Climbing the Mountain
Where are The Flyers?
There has been a lot of talk about what is wrong with the Flyers lately; we need a pure goal scorer, Kevin Hayes is lazy, JvR is slow, the defense is weak, Carter Hart is shaky. While all of these statements might have an air of truth about them, I have my own thoughts on … Continue reading Where are The Flyers?
