Season Beginnings

So, who’s ready for another year of heartbreak and sorrow? I feel, that as a Philly fan, I am stuck in a vicious cycle of sadness and despair, endlessly hoping that my team’s made of the Flyers, Phillies, Sixers, and Eagles have a decent year. And time after time, I am disappointed by my team’s performance. I would do anything just to see the Flyers raise the cup.

And with that, I welcome all you Brotherly Puck readers to the 2021-2022 NHL season!

We are going to have a fun one this season folks! With a whole new lineup, that got rid of players like N*lan P*trick and Bobert Hagg, the Flyguys look like a whole new team.

With additions like Cam Atkinson and Ryan Ellis, the Flyers have added some much needed depth, skill, and grit to their team. Unfortunately, they have already suffered some preseason injuries, with AV being forced to sideline Kevin Hayes and Wade Allison for weeks. The Flyers have a lot to prove this season … whether you are interested in the ever long Morgan Frost quest, Oscar Lindblom returning to the team at 100%, or Travis Konecny’s bounce back year, this team is going to be fun to watch this year.

Now, do not get me wrong, but the Flyers could have a horrible year. I am not talking horrible like the Red Wings in previous seasons, but in general a bad year. But, on the other hand, I think the Flyers could have a very successful year. There is a lot at steak this year. Not only does this squad have multiple new players that have yet to prove themselves on this Philadelphia team, but there are so many guys that are looking to have a bounce back year; this includes Konecny, Carter Hart, Kevin Hayes, and Travis Sanheim. If all those players have re-bound years, and the new guys fit in well, then I could see this team having much success. If all these pieces can come together, then the Flyers will be a force to be reckoned with in the Metro.

Things I am Excited For In The Upcoming Season

-Cam Atkinson Providing Offense

-Ryan Ellis stabilizing the defense

-Rasmus Ristolainen providing strength

-Oskar Lindblom coming back at full strength

-Carter Hart and Travis Konecny bounceback

-Cam York and Wade Allison in the Chel’

So, what are you most excited for this season?
