As the calendar flips to 2025 and the midway point of the season closes in, the early-March trade deadline gets closer and closer by the day. With some rumors circling the Flyers when it comes to both buying and selling, fans have taken to PuckPedia’s PuckGM tool to craft their ideal scenarios for Flyers trades. So we went though and picked more of our favorites for you to vote on!
You’re the GM of the Flyers and the proposals below come across your desk, do you make the trade?
offseason by flyersrule

This is a classic “quantity for quality” scenario. The Flyers ditch Farabee, who’s virtually worthless but covers a large chunk of the money Cozens is owed. They move on from Ivan Fedotov whom they’ve labeled the bastard child of the goalie trio and also covers the rest of the financial burden. Throwing in Frost and Grans means the Flyers don’t have to re-sign either one of them.
The Flyers get a *theoretical* worthwhile rehab project center (and a slight bit of cap savings), and the Sabres get four main roster pieces to help turn around… whatever it is they’re doing these days.

Going for 25-26 by Hammerwise

The trade rumors between the Flyers and Kings have been under the microscope recently, but never actually named targets on either side.
Alex Turcotte is a 23-year-old forward and former fifth overall pick back in 2019. He only has 63 NHL games and 18 points to his name at the NHL level. He has two years left on his contract at a $775,000 cap hit
Arthur Kaliyev is a 23-year-old forward and former second round pick in 2019. He has 71 points across 188 NHL games and has currently not played in 2024-25 after breaking his collar bone during training camp. Kaliyev is a pending RFA this summer.
The Flyers get two rehab projects while clearing a decent amount of cap space, and the Kings get an established winger who could use a change of scenery.

Needed Moves by DmasK

There’s a multitude of reasons why this trade probably won’t happen. First and foremost, the Leafs flat out cannot afford the $8 million coming their way in this deal without substantial moves elsewhere, and it’s just unlikely the Leafs trade their top prospect to begin with.
But with London Knights players Oliver Bonk and Denver Barkey headed to Philly next season, bringing along their partner in crime Easton Cowan could be a big-brain move that pays off in the form of chemistry in the long run.
It may seem like an overpay by the Flyers (losing both their top trade chips and a first round pick), but the Leafs get two solid main roster pieces to help their Cup run this season while the Flyers add a top forward prospect with ties to other players already in the pipeline.

Thoughts? by BlueGoose27

The Flyers and Ducks have been linked in loose trade rumors for the last year, mostly around Trevor Zegras, but what if they’re scoping out another young center?
McTavish is similar to most other players in Anaheim these days- a young guy who hasn’t lived up to expectations and it’s a question of wether or not it’s the player underperforming or the team as a whole dragging him down? The former third overall pick in 2021 has 103 points in 183 career NHL games. He primarily plays middle six center for the Ducks.

Rutherford to blame about Defence by MarsBar

A blockbuster 10-man deal between two teams who could use a shakeup. The most notable addition is top goalie Thatcher Demko.
The Flyers get a top goalie, as well as a depth forward and depth defenseman, but give up four main roster pieces to make the upgrade in goal possible.
